I am a folk song , that
Lives in the mouths of
Illiterate lady labourers of
One Tea Estate .

It has no tune that attracts masses
Verses are not rich in language
Without mind pleasing melody and
Surprising literature ,
No eminent musician adopts it
And nobody sings it in
Prestigious music concerts

But it has a meaning .....
The meaning which touches
and hurts every heart
And wets every eye .

Its about a betrayal in love ,
The agony of abandoned ,
Carrying the pang of a
Tormented soul ,
And about the recurring pain
that stings someone repeatedly .
